City Encouraged to Support Bicycle Parking Garage

City DPRD has encouraged Jakarta Provincial Government to soon make a gubernatorial regulation about provision of bicycle parking garage in shopping centers and office buildings in the capital.

Every shopping center and office will have to prepare a parking lot for bicycles. At least it has regulation

City DPRD's Commission B Secretary, Darussalam disclosed, it is needed to facilitate bicycle users to get parking garage in office buildings and shopping centers.

"Every shopping center and office will have to prepare a parking lot for bicycles. At least it has regulation," he expressed, Wednesday (3/7).

By so, it will encourage people to switch from private vehicles to bicycles. It can also reduce air pollution from vehicle.

"The use of bicycles will be re-cultivated. This is what we want to push," he stated.
