Vice Gov. Opens Milenia Cup 2 Taekwondo Championship 2018

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno opened Milenia Cup 2 Taekwondo Championship 2018 at Tanjung Duren GOR, West Jakarta, Saturday (3/24). This championship is participated by 1,100 athletes from 92 Taekwondo clubs.

I hope this championship becomes an official event to search for talented athletes that can achieve championship at national to international level

He mentioned, Taekwondo can train school aged children to be discipline in reaching achievement and expand their relations. He hopes there are talented athletes from Jakarta.

"I hope this championship becomes an official event to search for talented athletes that can achieve championship at national to international level," he expressed while opening this Taekwondo championship.

Meanwhile, Taekwondo Championship Committee Head, Antonius Hartanto explained, this championship is a part of Jakarta Taekwondo Provincial Management program in holding training and finding talented athletes. Participants are from elementary school to university level.

"We want to train talented athletes from elementary school to university. There are around 1,100 athletes from 92 taekwondo clubs," he added.

The grand champion will get training fund as the prize and will be coached to take a part in National Taekwondo Championship in Bandung, West Jakarta this May," he stated.
