Jl. Kemang Selatan Raya's Water Channel Cleaned

South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. cleans water channel on Jalan Kemang Selatan Raya, Mampang Prapatan. This cleaning is done because thickness of mud in the channel reaches 30-80 cm.

Currently, 20 personnel are deployed to dredge the mud on Jalan Kemang Selatan Raya

SDA Sub-dept's Mampang Prapatan Sub-district Unit Head, Reza Iskandar mentioned this area is often inundated when heavy rain falls. It is because the channel is full of mud with 80 cm thickness.

"Currently, 20 personnel are deployed to dredge the mud on Jalan Kemang Selatan Raya," he informed, Wednesday (3/28).

Cakung Lama River Dredging Targeted to Complete in Three Months

In these two weeks, his side is dredging the mud and he targets to finish it in two weeks ahead.

"We haven't dredge it for a long time, about more than one year. Now we dredge it again," he added.

According to him, this channel has 300 meters long on the left and right sides of the road. Mud dredging on this channel is hoped to prevent inundation in the area while rain falls.
