Water Channel on Jalan Kartini Dredged

Water channel on Jalan Kartini II, RW 05, Pasar Baru Urban Village, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta is dredged due to mud sedi mentation that reduces its capacity.

Dredging will be continued with water well pump construction

Sawah Besar Sub-district Water Resources Unit Head, Nanang Gusnadi mentioned, his side deploys 15 personnel to dredge the channel. When it is heavy rain, water overflowed from the channel since it has small water capacity due to mud.

"Dredging will be continued with water well pump construction," he conveyed, Monday (4/2).

He explained, this dredging is done to 312 meters water channel that becomes shallow from Jalan Kartini II to Jalan Pintu Besi.

"We have put those mud sedimentation to thousands sacks. Currently we are making the well and hopefully it can prevent inundation when heavy rain falls," he said.
