City to Install Net in Jakarta Mangrove Forest

"We will also do the similar thing in other coastal areas in North Jakarta. We must care about Jakarta Bay," he expressed, Wednesday (4/4).

He explained, his side will coordinate with Water Resources (SDA) Dept. to build breakwater near locations where mangroves are planted. Thus those plants can be protected and grow optimally.

PJB UP Muara Karang General Manager, Rahmat Azwin said, his side has cooperated with KOMMA since 2010 and planted 27 plants such as mangroves, api-api, nipa palm, and mangrove apples or locally known as pidada on 1.5 hectares land at Blok Empang Beach.

"This becomes our concern. We will plant 10 thousand plants gradually in this year," he stated.
