Vice Gov. Reviews Operational Hour Extension Trial in Corridor 13

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno reviews Transjakarta Corridor 13 Ciledug-Tendean route. He wants to check operational hour extension trial that has been implemented in a week.

Together with PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) Director, Budi Kaliwono; Bina Marga Dept. Head, Yusmada Faizal; Transportation Dept. Deputy Head, Sigit Wijatmoko; and media crews, Sandi starts the trip from Tirtayasa Bus Shelter, South Jakarta to JORR Bus Shelter on Jl. Ciledug Raya.

He said, operational hour extension in Corridor 13 is done to follow up this Transjakarta corridor passengers request.

Transjakata Corridor 13 Operational Extended Up to 10 PM for One Month

"Tonight, we will try to use Transjakarta bus in corridor 13. PT. Transjakarta innovates by providing guide car to escort Transjakarta bus in corridor 13 thus it can operate at night. I appreciate it," he conveyed, Thrusday (4/18) night.

According to him, people become more interested to use Transjakarta in corridor 13. It is proven that today its passenger reaches 17,500 people while it usually reaches 10,000 people per day.

"We target corridor 13 to serve up to 40 thousand passengers per day. I hope this solution can persuade people to use public transportation rather than private vehicles," he said.

He ensures, his side has signed contract for street lighting procurement in corridor 13.

"It is estimated streetlights can be installed by the end of this year," he added.

For information, Transjakarta buses in corridor 13 that previously operated from 5 AM to 7 PM are extended up to 11 PM for temporary trial.
