Sandi Praised Gobang Batik Quality

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno, opened the 2018 Jakarta Creative Productive Exhibition held by OK JOB Community and Gobang Batik Jakarta at Nyi Ageng Serang Auditorium, Jalan HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta.

It was participated by the small and medium enterprises (UKM) from five cities and attended by OK JOB initiator, Sadikin Boy; South Jakarta Mayor, Arifin; and Jakarta Culture and Tourism Head, Tinia Budiarti.

Gobang Batik Central will Be Appointed as Tourism Destination

In his speech, Sandi praised the quality of Gobang Batik, which is deemed as a mainstay product of UKM in the upcoming Asian Games 2018.

"Batik is very phenomenal. Insya Allah (God willing) will be a very inspiring dress. We can show it in the Asian Games," he expressed, Thursday (4/19).

He also claimed that Gobang Batik had been shown to Indonesian President, Joko Widodo during a meeting to discuss the Asian Games at Bogor Palace on Wednesday (4/18) yesterday. This UKM product was hoped to attract other creative entrepreneurs to market their products.

"Today we release product again and OK OCE participant continues to increase. Hope this can inspire," he exclaimed.

On that occasion, he also conveyed a message from Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan who is in Morocco. In his message, Anies welcomed this activity positively.

"Gobang Batik product is very cool. Batik is our mainstay," he stated. 

As for the information, OK JOB is a variant of OK OCE initiated to promote Betawi culture. It aims to encourage a small, micro and grassroots economy to get better in the future.
