Sandi Wants School Furnitures to Be Realized Soon

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno said, procurement of furniture for 183 schools in Jakarta can be realized soon. It is very important to support the teaching and learning activities.

"It must be realized this year, don't delay anymore," he stated, at City Hall, Monday (4/23).

He has asked City Secretary, Saefullah to make sure it runs smoothly.

"It has twice failed in the auction, it is a concern for our evaluation and follow up," he stated. 

Separately, the Jakarta Goods and Services Procurement Agency (BPPBJ)'s Morotai Working Group (Pokja), Firman expressed, its procurement consists of 86,304 sets of tables and chairs.

"To realize it, we have to spend Rp 87 billion," he expressed.

Previously, the failed auction is because of six companies of the auction participants cannot meet the qualifications required by Jakarta Education Dept.

The requirements that have been met are fulfillment of legality of wood certification in the form of Timber Legality Verification Certificate (SVLK) and Forest Stewardship Council Certificate (FSC). Additionally, the company must have to have a non-small Enterprise Business License (IUI).

"Currently we're still awaiting auction proposal from Education Dept. It is hoped able to be realized soon thus the furniture can be used in the upcoming July," he stated.

In meantime, Jakarta Education Dept. Vice Head, Bowo Irianto uttered his dept. will first conduct an internal meeting to follow up the auction procurement of furniture.

"We will hold an internal discussion first," he stated.
