Central Jakarta will Provide Two Pump Houses This Year

Two stationer pump houses will soon be provided in Central Jakarta. Currently this project has entered auction stage.

According to Dicky Suherlan, Head of Central Jakarta Water Resoures Sub-dept., the pumps will be provided on Jalan Penataran, Pegangsaan Urban Village, Menteng and Jalan Cempaka Putih Timur, Cempaka Putih.

"It is very important to reduce inundation-prone areas," he expressed, Thursday (4/26).

Mobile and Stationer Pumps Alerted in Kampung Melayu

If it is developed at Jalan Penataran, he assessed, it will be able to handle inundation on Jalan Anyer and in RW 02 Menteng Urban Village, as well as in front of Metropole, on Jalan Diponegoro. While for pump on Jalan Cempaka Putih Timur, it is also able to handle inundation on Jalan Cempaka Putih Tengah Raya.

Especially for Jalan Penataran, there will be two pumps with a capacity of 250 liters per second. While on Jalan Cempaka Putih Timur, there will be three pumps with a capacity of 500 liters per seconds.

"Hopefully it can be executed in the upcoming July and will be complete by the end of this year," he hoped.
