Six Months, Komarudin Flat Can Harvest One Ton of Catfish

Catfish farming owned by Komarudin Flat, Cakung, East Jakarta becomes more developed. One ton of fish has been harvested within six months.

Catfish farming is managed by Koperasi Rusun Komarudin Sejahtera (Korkas)

Komarudin Flat Management Unit Head, Ageng Darmintono said, there are 70 fish cages in four ponds to cultivate the catfish. Flat residents can harvest one ton of catfish from such ponds. The harvested catfish is distributed to restaurants in Cakung Sub-district, and some of them are also consumed by flat residents.

"Catfish farming is managed by Koperasi Rusun Komarudin Sejahtera (Korkas). Catfish cages are placed in four huge ponds located in four blocks," he said, Monday (5/7).

According to him, catfish farming is also done by his side. This fish farming is in line with Jakarta Governor's mission to provide job opportunities. In this case, Komarudin Flat management has Tridaya or Tribina missions consist of developing economy, social, and physical.  

"Catfish ponds located behind Komarudin Flat's Block A, C, D, and F have 20x39 square meters wide each ponds," he said.
