"There are 97 AKAP buses that will be checked for today," he informed, Tuesday (5/22).

From total 97 buses, only 22 buses which are roadworthy and personnel put sticker on those vehicles. The other 75 buses failed the ramp check because those buses have no security features such as safety triangle, medicine box and glass-breaking hammer.

Thus, he asked bus manager to equip vehicles that will be used for homecoming this year with security features.

"Unroadworthy vehicles will be ticketed, stopped for operation or even not allowed to transport passengers during homecoming period," he affirmed.

He added, his side will also conduct ramp check on D-8 to D+8 of Eid.

"Ramp check is done to ensure vehicles to be roadworthy thus it can transport passengers safely and comfortably to their destination city," he conveyed.
