CCTV will Be Installed in Mampang-Kuningan Underpass

Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) will be installed in Mampang-Kuningan Underpass, South Jakarta by Jakarta Bina Marga Department . CCTV needs to be installed because water channel's cover has been stolen twice.

Jakarta Bina Marga Dept.'s Bridge and Road Division Head, Heru Suwondo confirmed that water channel's cover on Mampang-Kuningan has been stolen. Thus his side will install CCTV on the location to record the thief acts and find out the culprit.

"We install CCTV to prevent channel's cover from being stolen again. Thus we could know who has done this unpleasant act," he affirmed, Monday (6/25).

He mentioned, its steel grating will be welded completely thus it is not easily stolen.

"It becomes PT. Adhi Karya's responsibility as the contractor since it is still in maintenance period," he said.

According to him, his side closes the channel using road barrier for temporarily while waiting for replacement cover which is being ordered by the contractor.

"Its replacement is being ordered," he informed.

On the other hand, Erwin Lobo, Kuningan Barat Urban Village Head stated, nine channel's covers have been stolen based on inspection on the field. Theft is done on Saturday (6/23) between 3-5 AM.

"Its location is different from the previous theft. Before it is happened from Rasuna Said direction to Warung Buncit. But now, it is on reverse direction," he conveyed.
