Cimanggis Reservoir Project Stopped Temporarily

Before being constructed, the Cimanggis Reservoir project at Jl Radar Auri, Cibubur, Ciracas, East Jakarta is stopped temporarily. This is due to the close of this year's budget.

Cimanggis Reservoir Project Supervisor, Mahrudin disclosed, the Cimanggis Reservoir project has been stopped since Sunday (12/25) yesterday. The reason is the close of this year's budget. It is planned to be re-continued in the upcoming January 2017.

"This has been stopped since yesterday due to close of this year's budget. The percentage of work completion has not been calculated because there is so little," he stated, Monday (12/26).

Cimanggis Reservoir Construction Accelerated

Despite it is stopped, yet the four heavy equipment is still left at the location. From that number, only three units are working. Then the other one cannot be used because the monitor was stolen by someone last October. As planned, Jakarta Water Management Dept to add six equipments to optimize the project that located on the land as wide as 5.8 hectares.

Based on the information in the field, in the first phase project, the officer has dredged the land up to six meters. Around the reservoir, his side also built a reservoir as wide as six meters. It is flanked by two rivers, namely Cipinang and Caglak. The Cipinang River that was previously having five meters wide, has been widened up to 14 meters.

If the project is done, it is hoped able to overcome flooding and puddle in Cibubur area, Pasar Rebo, Ciracas untik Depok.
