North Jakarta Police Destroy 35,350 Liquor Bottles

North Jakarta Metro Resort Police destroys 35,350 bottles of liquor in various brands by crushing them over using heavy vehicle on the courtyard of North Jakarta Metro Resort Police Headquarter, Thursday (7/24).

Iqbal detailed that of those 35,350 liquor bottles, 9,000 bottles were confiscated by North Jakarta Detective and Crime Unit, North Jakarta Drugs Detective and Crime Unit 15,000 bottles, Penjaringan Sector Police 3,200 bottles, Pademangan Sector Police 2,300 bottles, Cilincing Sector Police 2,200 bottles, Koja Sector Police 2,000 bottles, Tanjung Priok Sector Police 1,500 bottles, and Kelapa Gading Sector Police 150 bottles.

“Liquor is one of the main causes of disorders in the society, from torture until murder. And raid against liquors distribution aims to create public order, especially during Ramadan, as well as tom minimize disorders from the public disturbances in North Jakarta,” he uttered.

In addition, Iqbal urges the residents to remain vigilant against their neighborhood condition, especially ahead of Eid ul Fitr when crime rate increases. One of the crime modus is theft targeting empty houses which left by the owners for homecoming.
