Bundaran HI Aesthetic will Be Improved

Ahead of Asian Games XVIII, Jakarta Provincial Government will beautify Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI) appearance.

We want the view to Welcome Monument is not disturbed

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno mentioned, his side plans to improve its aesthetic by restoring Welcome Monument's essence. In order to restore its essence, pedestrian bridge located near Bundaran HI should be disassembled first.

"We want the view to Welcome Monument is not disturbed because it is all athletes' symbol. Previously on Asian Games 1962, people's view was not disturbed because no pedestrian bridge in there," he stated, Monday (7/23).

He explained, currently his side has finalized his plan to disassemble Bundaran HI JPO and offer alternative ways to facilitate pedestrian, especially those with disabilities.

"Our option is to use subway or underpass. We are optimistic to finish this work on t ime," he affirmed.
