Sandi Opens Halal Product Seminar

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno became a speaker in Halal product seminar, Wednesday (8/8). In that occasion, Halal product certification was very important in protecting consumer rights thus producers must pay attention to the importance of the certification.

"This certification will also be good in terms of business. Because, people won't hesitate to buy the products," he expressed, at City Hall, Wednesday (8/8).

He explained that it was also currently becoming a global trend in a number of leading tourist destinations in the world such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Taipei, Japan, and Russia.

Sandi Opens Halal Tourism FGD

"Jakarta has a chance, at least we have the characteristics and uniqueness that are far more complete and good. Our target is 1 million tourists visits to Jakarta through the concept of halal tourism in 2023," he stated.

He added that Jakarta Provincial Governor was very supportive and ready to facilitate the birth of successful entrepreneurs and acceleration of halal product certification.

"We want halal tourism in Jakarta to also be able to open more quality jobs," he said.
