Connecting Channel on Jalan Raya Cacing Normalized

There were obstacles due to illegal buildings on it. Thus the handling was done in stages

The Cakung Cilincing connecting channel, Cakung Barat Urban Village is normalized up to 2.1 kilometers length with 3.5 meters width.

"There were obstacles due to illegal buildings on it. Thus the handling was done in stages," expressed East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Head, Mustajab stated, Wednesday (8/8).

In the field, around 138 buildings will be torn down, considering the owner had got socialization in the sub-district side to conduct demolishment by themselves. Unfortunately, they ignored it.

"As the initial stage, casting is still under process around 12 meters length. We've dredged the channel up to 3.5 meters depth with 3.5 meters width. To anticipate landslide, we casted the bottom and right-left parts of the sheet pile," he told.
