Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, looked closely at the "Getah Getih" bamboo artwork in the HI Roundabout HI area, Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta. Besides adding aesthetics in Jakarta, it also becomes a symbol of unity.

Anies said that the work of an artist, Joko Avianto shows the charm of art that delivers an extraordinary message about the Indonesian nation.

"There is an implicit meaning about being sturdy but flexible, upright but see, small but giant, thousands but fused, unitary but not scattered. The bamboo work implies the idea of a unity contained in its composition," he expressed, Wednesday (8/15).

He explained that the combination of "Getah Getih" with the Welcome Statue could add color in welcoming the upcoming Asian Games with the message of unity.

He added that it could be an inspiration throughout Indonesia that bamboo can be used for a variety of artistic expressions.

"It will be inaugurated tomorrow (Thursday)," he stated.
