PT MRT Jakarta Launches MRT's Mascot and App

PT Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta, launched a company mascot named "Marti" on Wednesday night (8/15) at Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta.

Melalui Marti, MRT Jakarta dapat semakin membangun interaksi dengan masyarakat calon pengguna MRT Jakarta

PT MRT CEO, William Sabandar said that the "Marti" mascot, described as a 9-year-old boy who is full of curiosity with bright hopes for the future, the representation of the Jakarta MRT as a choice of transportation modes for the future in Jakarta.

"By so, Jakarta MRT can further develop interaction with potential Jakarta MRT users," he hoped, Thursday (8/16).

He explained that he also launched the MRT-J mobile application. It can be downloaded via android or iOS-based smartphone and has three main functions, namely developing public readiness about general information about Jakarta's MRT features.

It is like the operation readiness includes how to use the Jakarta MRT, information on the distance and time of the place between MRT stations. Other features are also related to passenger ethics, and commercial engagement that has MRT official merchandise sales features, including catalogs to buy and ship procedures to customers.

Further those features will be developed for other commercial aspects such as buying or adding the balance of tickets to the MRT train, buying other products from sellers to other services that support the mobility of the urban capital.

"Gradually we will continue to develop the application," he stated.
