PT LRT Jakarta to Explore Retail and Ad Business

PT Light Rail Transit (LRT) Jakarta is about to explore retail and advertising business in the form of light emitting diode (LED) to increase revenue.

To increase the company's revenue, we're going to explore retail and advertising businesses in six Jakarta Phase I LRT train stations

"To increase the company's revenue, we're going to explore retail and advertising business in six Jakarta Phase I LRT train stations," said Allan Tandiono, President Director of PT LRT Jakarta, Monday (8/20).

Retail and advertising business is one of the options in increasing the company's revenue to cover the operations of companies that need more funds.

Two LRT Trains Functionally Trialled

"So, in six stations, there are still four empty places and can be rented for retail," he explained.

He expressed that each LRT train station has a different theme, thus the advertising will be adjusted to their respective themes.

"Thereby the cost for advertising and retail place rental will also vary," he stated.

He added that the Jakarta phase I LRT train would fully operate in the upcoming December. There are static and dynamic trial, as well as limited operational trial with passengers.
