Jakarta Martial Arts Athlete, Puspa Arumsari Gets Appreciation

A martial arts athlete, Puspa Arumsari from Jakarta won a gold medal for the Indonesian contingent at the 2018 Asian Games. For this achievement, she was awarded a motorcycle unit from Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII).

I thank all those who have given appreciation

Cipayung Sub-district Head, Iin Mutmainnah stated that the prize is a form of appreciation from Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) to Jakarta athletes who make the name of the nation proud. Further, this achievement is expected to motivate the young generation in Cipayung, especially those who practice martial arts to continue to be diligent and enthusiastic.

"This martial arts of this ancestral heritage must continue to be developed. We all have to be proud of our own culture," she stated, Monday (9/3).

Jakarta Provincial Government and its ranks will continue to encourage and carry out continuous coaching. "We provide facilities for children to practice martial arts, either in RPTRA, schools, youth centers, sports venues, etc," he expressed.

TMII Director, Tanri Balilamo added that Puspa Arumsari is an athlete who trained in the TMII martial arts school. "We also give awards and congratulations to her," he said.

In the meantime, she is proud to donate gold medals to the nation and country. She also thanked all those who have supported her so far.

"I thank all those who have given appreciation. In the future I hope Indonesian martial arts athletes are more successful and respected in the international world," stated the resident of RT 15/04, Bambu Apus, Cipayung.
