Returning Flow at Pulogadung Terminal Still Quiet

The condition of returning flow at Pulogadung Bus Terminal, East Jakarta, on 3 days after Eid ul Fitr or Thursday (7/31), still quiet. Yesterday, the number of passengers during returning flow were only 1,932 people using 123 buses and its peak is predicted to happen on 4-5 days after Eid ul Fitr, because many employees will actively work on Monday (8/4).

"The peak of returning flow will happen on 4-5 days after Eid ul Fitr at Pulogadung Bus Terminal," predicted Head of Pulogadung Bus Terminal, Muhammad Arafat, Thursday (7/31).

Additionally, his side also predicts the number of bus passengers during returning flow would increase five percent compared to last year, considering terminal condition is already better.

People Began to Crowd Pulogadung Terminal for Homecoming

"Last year, we had carried 9,500 people during returning flow. Indeed this is the main terminal thus people tend to depart from our terminal towards their destination," he told.

According to him, the quiet condition is caused by the long holiday. "That's why people decide to go home (Jakarta) later," he uttered.

He explained, starting on 7 days before Eid ul Fitr, as many as 1,107 buses and 12 back-up buses had carried 22,290 passengers. "The number is increasing compared to last year, which was only 17,000 people," he finished.
