We will impose e-ticketing system in TransJakarta bus stops in corridor I simultaneously as part of service improvement efforts to TransJakarta bus passengers
“
We will impose e-ticketing system in TransJakarta bus stops in corridor I simultaneously as part of service improvement efforts to TransJakarta bus passengers . It aims to support the ease, convenience, and efficiency of the passenger’s queue time,” stated PT Transjakarta Public Relations officer, Sri Ulina Pinem, Monday (8/4).To anticipate the flood of e-ticketing purchases, Pinem told that her side has coordinated with six banks as e-card providers. They will prepare ancillary equipment all over corridor I bus stops and physical e-ticketing cards.
2015, All TransJakarta Bus Corridors Impose e-Ticket“We cooperate with six banks to prepare e-ticketing card as much as three-fold from the amount that we prepared every day,” she said.
According to Pinem, the amount of e-ticket cards in one day is usually around 60-70 thousand tickets in each bus stop in corridor I. On August 11, the amount will be increased three-fold.
“Besides e-tickets, we also prepare cash top-up machines at bus stops, balance checking devices, et cetera,” she added.
Later, each bus stop will have six top-up machines, thus passengers do not have to be bank customers of ticket providers when they want to top up their tickets.
“Each bank is asked to provide one top-up machine in every bus stop. All devices are already available, we just do maintenance whether there is damage or not,” she uttered.
After corridor I, the same system will be imposed in 10 other corridors with target 40 percent users to increase to 100 percent.
“We will impose e-ticket system simultaneously in other corridors except corridor IV and VI which haven’t ready yet,” she informed.
