City DPRD Appreciates E-Tilang System Implementation

Jakarta Council (DPRD) appreciates electronic ticketing system (e-Tilang) implementation in Jakarta.

It is initiated by Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya which is assisted by Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) to reduce traffic violation.
Commission B Supports E-Ticketing System"We really appreciate it. This cooperation should be improved in the future," expressed Endah Setia Dewi, Jakarta Council's Commission B member, Tuesday (10/9).
Another Commission B member, Syarifuddin also said the similar thing. According to him, e-Tilang system is effective to change road users mindset to be more obedient to traffic regulations.
"With this system, road users mindset will change automatically because it gives deterrent effect thus they will not violate traffic regulation again," he explained.
According to results of e-Tilang system trial which is conducted on October 1-6, number of traffic violators is decreased from 232 violators on the first day of trial into 27 violators on the last day of trial.
