Four Disabled-Friendly Sidewalks in N. Jakarta Ready to Use

Disabled-friendly sidewalks built since June on four roads in North Jakarta are currently being cleaned and it will be ready to be used soon.

Sidewalk width varies between 2-4 meters with 5 kilometers length

North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept.'s Infrastructures and Utility Network Section Head, Libertus Sigala said, sidewalks construction is divided in two zones. East zone is located on Jl. Perintis Kemerdekaan and Jl. Raya Plumpang Semper. While west zone is on Jl. Danau Sunter Barat and Jl. Danau Sunter Utara.

"Sidewalk width varies between 2-4 meters with 5 kilometers length. It is equipped with detectable warning tiles as direction marker, bollards, and park benches," he informed, Thursday (10/11).

He explained, each sidewalks are equipped with detectable warning tiles, bollards, and park benches. Concrete material thickness is around 10 centimeters with gutter.
