PT MRT Jakarta Conducts System Acceptance Test

PT Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta is checking the system acceptance test (SAT) on Phase I MRT Jakarta train system that connects Lebak Bulus-HI Roundabout. It has been ongoing since August 9-end of January 2019.

This test is important to be done as part of testing and commissioning prior to the operation is carried out

"This test is important to be done as part of testing and commissioning prior to the operation is carried out," expressed William P Sabandar, President Director of MRT Jakarta, Wednesday (10/17).

He explained that it is conducted with the aim of checking the entire MRT system starting from the signaling system, electrical system, telecommunication system, track work or rail system, overhead contact system (OCS), screen door platform, and all available information systems at depots and stations.

"It's done by static way in each system and checking dynamically or checking the system by running a train (the first train car)," he explained.

After checking the system in December, his side will also check the MRT train until mid-February 2019 or before the MRT train officially operates.

"At this stage, the second train will begin to be run to check trains until the 16th train," he said.
