Four MRT trains were finally arrived at the Tanjung Priok Port, Saturday (8/18).
These trains will be sent to the MRT Jakarta Depot gradually
PT MRT Jakarta President Director, William Sabandar stated that those trains were shipped using the Potentia SE ship for approximately 14 days that was departed from Toyohashi Japan on August 4, 2018.
"These trains will be sent to the MRT Jakarta Depot gradually," he expressed, Monday (8/20).
PT MRT Jakarta Launches MRT's Mascot and AppHe explained that each train consists of 6 cars. Until now there have been four trains shipped to the depot.
The new train made by Nippon Sharyo Japan for the Jakarta MRT began to be transported on August 19 night until August 27. Two other trains are still on the way that is currently being used in the system acceptance test (SAT). Thus the train currently has 6 units.
"For phase 1 MRT Jakarta (Lebak Bulus - HI Roundbout) will use 16 cars whereby 14 of them are operated and 2 other sets become the backup," he stated.
