Logistic Aid Continues to Be Sent to Palu and Its Surrounding Areas

The aid is symbolically handed over to Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, to be further distributed to disaster victims through the relief posts at City Hall.

"They collected it by making clothes pins and hats for sale. Today I received funds amounting to Rp 26,143,000," he expressed, when he welcomed the arrival of PPSU representatives at City Hall.

He revealed that it is highly appreciated the steps of PPSU officers who formed a forum for this social fundraising.

"Thank you. God willing this is a record of worship. And it shows that even though we are far away, we can still help," he added.

Deny, one of PPSU officers admitted that the forum actually does not have an official structure. There are only a few internal parties coordinating fundraising activities for disaster victims in Central Sulawesi, when they are finished working.

"We managed to raise money within a week, from October 3 to 10. We move outside working hours not to interfere with our work," he stated.
