The construction of Daan Mogot Flat, which has been worked on since 2013, is being accelerated. Right now, this multi-year project funded by the City Budget (APBD) is in final phase of construction. The flat will have 16 blocks with capacity of 800 households per block, and also the biggest mosque built in a land as wide as three hectares.
The flat is prioritized for West Jakarta residents who live on the banks of Mookervart River, Grogol River, and Pluit Reservoir
“It is still in final construction process. We want it quick as well, so the flat can be quickly occupied. Let’s just wait,” said Head of West Jakarta Public Housing and Government’s Buildings Management Sub-Department, Rohman Lizard, Wednesday (8/6).
According to Lizard, Daan Mogot Flat is designated for the residents who live on Pluit Reservoir bank as well as some on the banks of Mookervart River and Grogol River.

Lizard admitted that Daan Mogot Flat construction is targeted to finish in two years. However, it is Jakarta Provincial Government that has full responsibility over the flat in terms of budgeting, planning, and monitoring, while his party’s responsibility is only coordinating with Jakarta Public Housing and Government’s Buildings Management Department.
“Daan Mogot Flat is fully the policy of province level, starting from budgeting, planning, until monitoring. Our part is only coordinating,” he said.
