Jakarta Environment Dept. Head, Isnawa Adji estimates Sunter ITF construction will take around two years to complete or in 2020.
Sandi Targets Sunter ITF Construction to Start by the End of 2018"When Sunter ITF is operating, it will process around 2,000 tons of waste per day. It is estimated around 200 tons of remaining waste will be transported to Bantar Gebang Landfill," he added, Monday (10/22).
He explained, waste volume in Jakarta reaches more than 7,000 tons per day that is transported with 1,200-1,300 trucks to Bantar Gabang Landfill.
"Hopefully ITF can reduce amount of waste transported to Bantar Genag landfill. Besides, waste in ITF can be used for electricity," he mentioned.
