Collapsed Retaining Wall in Pejagalan will Be Repaired Soon

Jakarta Water Resources Department (SDA) Dept. will immediately repair the collapsing Tubagus Angke River retaining wall on Jl. Jembatan Gambang Raya RT 19/01, Pejagalan Village, Penjaringan, after cleaning debris from building that previously built on that retaining wall, Wednesday (10/24) evening.

Pejagalan Urban Village Head, Yogara Hernandes stated, his side has coordinated with SDA Dept. about retaining wall repair.

"We have coordinated with SDA for repairing the retaining wall. Later on, they will follow up this request," he said, Thursday (10/25).

He explained, his side deploys 55 PPSU personnel, 35 Sub-district SDA Unit personnel, and 5 PHL personnel from Environment Sub-dept. to clean up the collapsed building debris.

"Yesterday evening, we have cleaned the debris and repaired retaining wall edges that collapsed at once. SDA Dept. personnel will repair the retaining wall," he explained.

Not only repair retaining wall edges, his side also installs barrier and warning to inform people that location is prone to landslide.

"We also suggest people for not using again nine buildings that are still standing on the riverbank," he added.
