Waste volume in West Flood Canal (KBB), particularly in front of Season City Mall, Tambora, West Jakarta increased after heavy rainfall on Sunday (10/28) night.

Jakarta Water Unit personnel collect piles of wood and plastic waste from river to the riverbank since morning to afternoon.

Tambora Water Unit's Coordinator on the field, Robert Suherman stated, amount of waste collected from KBB increased due to heavy rainfall on Sunday (10/28) night.

"We usually transport five trucks of waste in normal days. But today, we estimate it could reach 10 trucks of waste," he explained, (10/29).

He conveyed, his side has deployed unit personnel to anticipate high amount of waste during rainy season. Including to install nets on channels to prevent waste carried away in water flow.

"Trash net is made to hold waste carried by water flow. Through KBB in front of Season City Mall, water flows to Muara Baru," he added.
