Seribu Islands Year-round Sport Festival Held in Pramuka Island

Seribu Islands Regency holds Festival Olahraga Sepanjang Tahun (Year-round Sports Festival) at regency level, Pramuka Islands, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands.

We hope this year-round sport festival and sports development in Seribu Islands can produce new athletes

Seribu Island Regency's Community Welfare Division Head, Windu Cahyaningsih as a head committee of event stated, volley and traditional sport competitions will be held in this festival.

West Jakarta Holds Table Tennis Sports Festival

It is participated by six volley teams (men and women) from elementary, junior high, to senior high school levels in two sub-districts of North Seribu Islands and South Seribu Islands.

"While 40 participants from each of six urban villages participate in traditional sports such as terompah panjang (clog) race, tapak gunung (hopscotch), tarik tambang (tug of war), and sumpitan," he informed, Saturday (12/1).

After opening this sport festival, Seribu Islands Regent, Husein Murad said there are sports that should be developed based on Seribu Islands area.

Sports such as beach volleyball and water sports need to be developed in order to facilitate Seribu Islands young generations' talents and interests in sports.

"We hope this year-round sport festival and sports development in Seribu Islands can produce new athletes," he conveyed.
