PDAM Jaya Targets 70,000 New Customers in 2019

The city-owned water company PDAM Jaya continues to fulfill raw water needs for Jakartans. That is by targeting 70,000 new customers in North and West Jakarta in 2019.

Pesanggrahan River can produce 70 liters per second and urban forest IPA can produce 500 liters per second

PDAM Jaya President Director, Priyatno Bambang Hernowo stated that his party has already conducted a Feasibility Study (FS) in Pesanggrahan River, South Jakarta and also made a Water Treatment Plant (IPA) in Penjaringan Urban Forest, North Jakarta, to add raw water sources.

"Later on, Pesanggrahan River can produce 70 liters per second and urban forest IPA can produce 500 liters per second," he expressed, Tuesday (12/4).

He explained that 700 liters per second is able to serve 40,000 customers and 500 liters per second can serve 30,000 customers. Including adding clean water to the existing customers next year.

The raw water supplies from Pesanggrahan River will be flowed to Pesanggrahan and its surrounding areas. While for water from Penjaringan urban forest IPA is for North Jakarta and its surrounding areas.

"Next year we'll add 70,000 new customers and boost clean water supply to the existing customers," he stressed.
