End of December, 16 Ratangga Trains will Be Trialled

PT. Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta will do parallel trials to 16 Ratangga MRT trains in the end of December. This trial will be done until Ratangga commercial operation in March 2019.

All of them are ready and we will try parallel trial end of this December with testing positioning

PT. MRT President Director, William P. Sabandar stated, 16 Ratangga trains have arrived and placed in Lebak Bulus Depot, South Jakarta. Each train contains of 6 train cars. It means there are 96 train cars in total.

"All of them are ready and we will try parallel trial end of this December with testing positioning," he said, Tuesday (12/11).

He explained, trial will be conducted until March to find out about scenarios in case things are not run as planned. Beside, trial is done to know train's traveling time by testing for 5 minutes and 10 minutes scenarios and also during rush hours and normal hours.

Full trials will be conducted in mid of February until mid of March by involving residents. After trials are done to all trains, commercial operation will be launched on March.

"After this train starts to operate commercially, it can travel from Bundaran HI to Lebak Bulus within 30 minutes and stop in 13 stations," he informed.
