Jakarta Small Medium Enterprises Cooperative and Trade (KUKMP) Dept. Head, Adi Ariantara stated, accumulation of rice stock in Logistic Agency (Bulog) and PT. Food Station Tjipinang can reach 513,000 tons.
"Jakartans need of rice is around three thousand tons per day. It means, our rice stock is still safe for the next 170 days," he informed, Wednesday (12/12).

"We need to maintain the supply safe. Because price fluctuation is mostly caused by high demand but supply is lacking," he mentioned.
Other important thing to maintain price stability, he continued, is to make an efficient, effective, and smooth distribution without any obstacles.
"Rice price is very influential on inflation. So, we need to maintain rice price to prevent it from rising," he added.
