West Jakarta Mayor, Rustam Effendi asked urban village and sub-district heads to strictly enforce garbage disposal regulation and coordinate with related parties concerning anti-littering act (OTT) operation.

It was conveyed by Rustam to follow up report from Rawa Buaya residents who complaint about garbage disposal and garbage combustion activities in the RW 06 Temporary Waste Disposal Site (LPS), which has long been closed. 

" All sides should support and ensure there is no one disposes garbage at the closed LPS ," he asserted at city-level leadership meeting, Tuesday (12/18).

West Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-dept. Head, Edi Mulyanto mentioned OTT should be done to give a deterrent effect for anyone who is caught littering in RW 06 LPS, Rawa Buaya.

"The sanction nominal that will be given is between Rp 100-500 thousand and it will be deposited to local treasury," he stated.

Meanwhile, Cengkareng Sub-district Head, Masud Effendi said, garbage disposal and garbage combustion are done at night.

"Disposed garbage are mostly from outside of RW 06 Rawa Buaya residential environment," he informed.
