Anies Monitors Tosari JPO Dismantling

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan monitors the process of Tosari Pedestrian Crossing Bridge (JPO) dismantling on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (12/18) night.

This work is planned to complete by the end of this year

According to plan, the JPO will be replaced with pelican crossing which is considered more convenient for pedestrian since it is friendly to disabled people, elderly, and pregnant women.

He appreciates all personnel who are involved in dismantling Tosari JPO. Moreover, they work when most of people are resting.

"Last night, they worked until dawn. They bring down that heavy concrete. This work is planned to complete by the end of this year," he stated as written in verified Anies Baswedan's Facebook account, Wednesday (12/19).

He explained, Transjakarta bus shelter in Tosari will be extended to the north, until in front of Germany Ambassador Office.

"We hope congestion in front of City Tower will be reduced by moving the crossing and waiting point into in front of Germany Ambassador," he conveyed.

According to him, Sudirman-Thamrin corridor arrangement is prioritized to support pedestrian mobility.

"Jakarta Government will continue to add more pelican crossings," he asserted.
