Gembok Cinta, New Spot to Take Selfies on Tidung Island

Seribu Islands Regency installs a Gembok Cinta (Lock Love) on the Love Bridge, Tidung Island Urban Village, South Seribu Islands as the new spot to take selfies and hopefully this new selfie spot could attract more tourists.

Tidung Island Urban Village Head, Cecep Suryadi mentioned, this heart-shaped object was made two weeks ago and completed on Wednesday (12/19) afternoon. It uses stirrup iron material and also plate to add more installations around the bridge.

"We hope it can be used as the new spot to take selfies, especially during Christmas and New Year holidays," he stated, Thursday (12/20).

Moreover, visitor does not need to bring padlock but can buy it on Tidung Island. After locking the padlock at this installation, they are not allowed to throw key to the sea, but they can either take it home or dispose it to trash can in the area.

"Padlock selling is provided to facilitate tourists and also one of efforts to increase Tidung Island resident's economic growth," he added.
