Breadfruit Festival to Enliven Pramuka Island on January 1, 2019

Seribu Islands Regency is going to hold Seribu Islands Breadfruit (Sukun) Festival in Pramuka Island, North Seribu Islands Sub-district, on January 1, 2019.

We want tourists to visit and know more about Seribu Islands culinary and enjoy it

Seribu Islands Regent, Husein Murad mentioned, the event which is held in conjunction with New Year holidays moment is hoped to increase number of tourists who visit Seribu Islands.

Seven Resort Islands Urged to Plant Breadfruit Tree

"We want tourists to visit and know more about Seribu Islands culinary and enjoy it," he expressed, Wednesday (12/19).

Seribu Islands Breadfruit Festival is also a form of government's concern towards local small-medium enterprises (UKM) to sell their various products.

"We want to support their marketing. Thus it can increase their income and welfare," he conveyed.

There are various processed products made from breadfruit that will be promoted and sold. They are breadfruit tea, breadfruit sponge cake, steamed breadfruit, boiled breadfruit, fried breadfruit, breadfruit kolak, breadfruit chips, breadfruit cake, and breadfruit putu mayang snack. 

"In the festival, Seribu Islands Kominfotik will also entertain visitors by showing movies regarding the beauty of Seribu Islands," he informed.
