New Year, Ancol Targets 250 Thousand Visitors

Taman Impian Jaya Ancol Vice Director, Teuku Sahir Syahali is targeting 250 thousand people to visit Ancol on New Year celebration, December 31.

Additional personnel is needed to ensure visitors can enjoy New Year celebration and its events safely and comfortably

His side will add 3,000 joint personnel from Satpol PP, Police, TNI, janitor, gatekeeper, lifeguard, health worker, and tour guide.

According to the last year's evaluation result, his side will serve more optimally by deploying more personnel, adding toilet facilities, deploying health workers in all parts of Taman Impian Jaya Ancol area.

"Additional personnel is needed to ensure visitors can enjoy New Year celebration and its events safely and comfortably," he conveyed, Thursday (12/20).

As the years before, central parking system will also be imposed in all Ancol areas this year. It will start at 5 AM on December 31, 2018 to January 1, 2019 at midnight.

All visitors who are using two-wheeled vehicles or more will be directed to park in provided parking areas. Those parking areas can accommodate around 13,000 cars and 34,000 motorcycles.

"Ancol prepares free rides using 119 Wara-Wiri Buses (shuttle buses) and Sato-Sato Train on December 31 - January 1," he informed. 

On the New Year's Eve, fireworks will brighten up Ancol's scenery, precisely in five locations along Festival Beach, Ancol Lake, Ancol Putri Duyung, Lagoon Beach, and Carnaval Beach. They will be lit simultaneously within 10-13 minutes duration.

Besides fireworks, visitors will be also entertained by celebrities at the main stage in Carnaval Beach.

"Fireworks which are placed along 600 meters on the seashore will be directed at floating stage and presented with musical fireworks concept," he said.
