Kampung Silat Planned as The New Tourist Destination in Rawa Belong

This year West Jakarta Tourism and Culture Sub-department (Sudinparbud) plans to build Kampung Silat (Martial Arts Village) in Rawa Belong, Kebon Jeruk. Rawa Belong is historically known for its original Betawi martial arts. Moreover, many Betawi martial arts studios built in this region.

"We want to build Kampung Silat as the new tourist destination. Hopefully there are many local and foreign tourists who are interested in enjoying Betawi martial arts performance and coming to visit Jakarta," mentioned Ahmad Syaropi, Head of West Jakarta Sudinparbud, Thursday (2/7).

Betawi Coaching Activities Intensified This Year

In addition to Kampung Silat, soon his side is about to hold Pecinan and Kali Besar Festivals in Kota Tua.

"We also have children's mental and character development programs through cultural arts training in RPTRA," he mentioned.
