Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department (Disparbud) committed to develop and preserve Betawi cultural arts by intensifying activities such as Betawi cultural art competitions, festivals, and performances abroad.

"This year, we plan to increase Betawi coaching activities by almost 100 percent than last year by running it in all Jakarta regions including Thousand Islands," mentioned Asiantoro, Acting Jakarta Disparbud Head (Plt), Monday (2/4).

He considered this coaching activity is also potential to increase number of local and foreign visitors.
