Let's Enliven Pecinan Festival on February 19-20!

Pecinan Festival is about to be held on February 19-20, 2019 in Pancoran Glodok.

Betawi cultural arts performances such as Tanjidor and Ondel-Ondel are also performed to enliven the festival

West Jakarta Tourism and Culture (Parbud) Sub-department Head, Ahmad Syaropi plans to hold this festival together with Cap Go Meh event which is celebrated 15 days after Chinese New Year.

Cap Go Meh in Glodok Goes Festive

This festival will show various Chinese Traditional arts and cultural performances, such as Barongsai, Kuncen, Wushu, Chinese dress fashion show, and many others.

"Betawi cultural arts performances such as Tanjidor and Ondel-Ondel are also performed to enliven the festival," he informed, Tuesday (1/29)

Pecinan Festival is held to promote tourism sector in West Jakarta. It is also done by involving local communities, such as Perhimpunan Indonesia Tionghoa and Perhimpunan Sosial Budaya Indonesia Tionghoa.

"We are targeting 10,000 domestic and foreign tourists to visit and enjoy this festival,"  he conveyed.
