Thousand Islands is Safe for Tourism, BNPB Says

National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB)'s Public Relations, Information, and Data Center Head, Sutopo Purwo informed that Thousand Islands is safe from tsunami and Anak (Child) Krakatau's landslide that could also triggered tsunami. This statement is conveyed while receiving visit from Thousand Island Communication Information and Statistics (Kominfotik) Sub-department at Graha BNPB, Jalan Pramuka, East Jakarta, Monday (2/18).

We will continue to inform Thousand Island residents about this important information, especially tourists

"For tourism purpose, Thousand Islands current condition is safe from earthquake, tsunami, and Anak Krakatau volcano eruption," he stated.

Thousand Islands Kominfotik Sub-department Head, Bandok Eko Priambodo mentioned that his side wants to get detail information from BNPB related to disaster in this visit.

"We will continue to inform Thousand Island residents about this important information, especially tourists thus they aren't worried about traveling to Thousand Islands," he said.
