Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department (Disparbud) creates new innovation to promote Jakarta's tourism potential, particularly Jakarta local wisdom and tourist destinations.

Jakarta Disparbud's Information Division Head, Alberto Ali conveyed, Disparbud uses Youtube channel named Jakarta Tourism with Enjoy Jakarta icon to promote Jakarta tourism.
"We upload videos that relates with Jakarta tourism potentials, particularly about Jakarta's culinary and Betawi cultural art," he explained, Wednesday (2/13).
March 9, Come and Enliven Art Festival in Pari IslandThis year, his side is targeting to upload videos about 30 tourism products and Betawi cultural arts. It consists of 10 children traditional game videos, 10 culinary videos, and 10 cultural art videos.
"This way, we can be more intensive in promoting Jakarta to the millennial generation. Social media usage is considered very effective, cheaper in cost, but it can reach out broadly to the world," he explained.
He hopes it could increase number of local and foreign tourists who visit Jakarta from year to year. Besides, his side could also help Jakarta to enliven its local wisdom and cultures.
"We are not only promoting Jakarta, but also educating the viewers by exploring various Jakarta cultures," he added.
For information, Jakarta Tourism channel on Youtube has 3,222 subscribers. It has uploaded videos about Kedok Dance, Belenggo Dance, Sipatmo Dance and Cokek Dance, then traditional games such as hide and seek (known as Petak Umpet), Gelindingan,Tapak Gunung, and Galasin.
