Anies Inaugurates Dukuh Atas Integrated Area and Drink Water Facility

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has inaugurated the Dukuh Atas Integrated Area and drink water facility, Tuesday (4/30). It is the first time inaugurated to apply the Transit Oriented Development (TOD).

"I hope it can be a milestone for developing transportation in Jakarta," he expressed.

He always emphasized that the means of transportation that everyone has is feet. Which is why sidewalk development keeps being intensified as a means of comfort for pedestrians.

Transjakarta to Open New Dukuh Atas Routes

Nevertheless, supporting facilities for vehicles keep also being optimized.

"This is hoped to be able to reflect the future city, moreover we also have the MRT, light rail transit (LRT), and bus rapid transit (BRT)," he explained. 

Related to drink water facilities, it functions to educate citizens to get used to carrying tumblers.

"We try to change their way of thinking to love the environment more and make it as daily lifestyle," he told.

He also wants locations that have similar facilities to be added, especially in crowded areas.

PT MRT Jakarta President Director, William Sabandar uttered that today is coinciding with one month of commercial MRT operations which managed to serve 82,615 people per day

"It was recorded on April 13, 2019 with 116,748 passengers. The most crowded stations are Lebak Bulus Station, HI Roundabout and Dukuh Atas Station," he stated.
