Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department (Disparbud) through Art Museum Management Unit is cooperating with Komunitas Sahabat Keramik Jakarta to hold an exhibition with theme 'Seni Alih-alih Keramik: Aksi Sang Perupa' at Fine Art and Ceramic Museum, Kota Tua, West Jakarta.

"This ceramic exhibition will be on April 27-June 16," informed Edy Junaedy, Head of Jakarta Disparbud, Friday (5/3).

He expects museum management unit could build a good synergy with other communities thus museum can be used more often to exhibit works of the artists to public and become a home for the artists of art industries and creative industries in expressing and interacting with the community.
"It also can be a place for art enthusiasts and common people to know about cultural arts development in Jakarta and Indonesia. We want to instill a love of art to the younger generations," he added.
In the other hand, Jakarta Disparbud's Art Museum Unit Head, Esti Utami conveyed, during the exhibition her side will invite ceramic artists, creator team of this exhibition to share their experiences. She also plans to hold pottery class for students and communities.
"Hopefully this exhibition can attract visitors to learn more about ceramic history and its development in Indonesia," she stated.
