29 Infiltration Wells Built in West Jakarta

West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-department has built 29 infiltration wells in eight sub-districts.

This year, we are targeting to build 500 infiltration wells in West Jakarta

West Jakarta SDA Sub-department Head, Imron mentioned, those infiltration wells are built in pump houses, wetlands, and locations prone to inundation.

"This year, we are targeting to build 500 infiltration wells in West Jakarta," he said, Monday (5/20).

His side builds infiltration wells with different depths between 2-4 meters. One location can have one or two infiltration wells.

"Infiltration wells can help storing the rain water when raining to prevent road from being inundated. Hopefully, the more infiltration wells built, the more locations are safe from inundation, especially locations prone to inundation during rainy season," he stated.
