Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama attended a wedding of Bella and Gufron as well as did impromptu visits (blusukan) to the Pejompongan's row village, RT 013/RW 007, Bendungan Hilir Urban Village, Tanah Abang Sub-District, Central Jakarta, Sunday (8/24) noon.

While wearing a blackish-brown batik, Basuki arrived at the village at around 12.30 PM along with his personal guard. The man who popularly called as Ahok was accompanied by his wife, Veronica Tan.

He studied every corner of the place while asking local citizens. His arrival was greeted enthusiastically by locals and scramble to shake hands and take picture together with him.

After filling the present book, he then insert three envelopes in the box at the reception desk.

Not long after, he then went inside to congratulate the bride and family. Suddenly the bride's face looks happy when they saw Basuki present at the wedding. "Thank your sir for being here," said the groom. And then continued with a photo session.

The former regent of East Belitung also took time to talk with a caretaker of Pejompongan row village. He wants people not to litter. "If you need a trash bin or whatever it is, just report to the Health Department," he expressed.

He uttered that Pejompongan row village condition is still dirty because the pattern of people's lives have not changed. Thus there should be educational, teaching, and mentoring people to care about the environment and not littering.

"We arrange the village better but its condition still looks dirty, thus role of urban village, RT/RW heads is very important to educate their citizens," he expressed.

Basuki asserted that he does not blame the local urban village or RT/RW head. This is because it is people habit that must be trained to create healthy and clean lifestyle. "This is a matter of habit. That's why there must be training and educational," he stressed.
